Hackers the movie Hairstyles – 90’s Punk. 1995 Angelina Jolie looking hot in a super short punk style cut. Her bangs are cut at varying length to flow with her eyes and eyebrows and the sideburns are left long enough to hang down to her jaw line.
Natalie Dormer‘s amazing Hunger Games – Mockingjay (part 1) hairstyle as Cressida.
The new Hunger Games movie in coming in November is going to be great. But you don’t know just how great because you haven’t seen Natalie Dormer’s shaved head with a braid and floral tattoo yet! This is amazing, I’ll see the movie just for her haircut.. and her, obviously. The braid down the side with the undercut makes me think of a long horse mane. Check out these new photos of Natalie Dormer as Cressida in The Hunger Games:
In the upcoming movie Tron: Legacy Olivia Wilde plays the character Quorra, pretty much the ultimate nerd fantasy. It took me a minute to recognize her with the cute short bob-cut with bangs hairstyle she sports in the movie. From the second photo down it seems like her hair is cut with a bit of a taper down to the right.. like her bangs get longer towards the right side of her face. Maybe it’s just that photo but to me it looks a bit off, like they half-assed a popular bob cut style like Charlize Theron in Aeon Flux but it’s not as intense.. more cute with the bangs and mostly even look. Even so, Olivia pulls it off nicely.
Brad Pitt‘s hairstyle in Fury (2014) is awesome!
Fury synopsis: April, 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Out-numbered, out-gunned, and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.
Anna Paquin – star of the hit HBO series True Blood where she plays a telepathic, half-faerie half-human, with special powers. She also plays the character Rogue in the X-men movies as well playing in other movies you might know; Amistad, A Walk on the Moon, The Piano, Scream 4, and many others.
I’m pretty sure this proves you can do literally anything you want with whatever hair you might have. 🙂
Check out some of her on-screen styles:
Milla Jovovich in Ultraviolet again has amazingly colored hairstyles. Like in The Fifth Element with her orange hair this new purple style looks great… though I prefer the shorter more messy look in the other movie. 🙂
The color changing effects in Ultraviolet are also super cool. I like the screenshot below where she has almost all black hair with an amazing color of purple/blue on the tips. Check out the movie for other interesting hairstyles on the other characters like really long dreads or other chicks with purple hair.
Ok, is it’s been forever since The Fifth Element came out in 1997(gasp), but it’s still a great movie! And of course it’s got so many great hairstyles, gotta give a hand to the costume/makeup/hairstylists for the movie for doing a fabulous job! Just as an example look at the scene where the Diva (Maiwenn Le Besco) sings the techno-opera and really look around at the audience in the background, there’s more awesome hairstyles just in that scene than in most entire movies.
Obviously the hairstyle that everyone remembers from The Fifth Element is Leeloo’s (Milla Jovovich) hair. The awesome bright orange with blond roots color… the orange and white color scheme that runs throughout the movie makes me think someone was a UT or Syracuse fan. lol. Back to the hair… it seems like for most of the movie that it had an almost dreaded look like is was twisted in clumps with some wax. I like it, gave it more of a hardcore look than just leaving it natural. The short bangs gave her a more cute feel. Put it all together, and I think it pulled off her look and feel for the character of Leeloo quite nicely.
This style worked great for Charlize Theron in the movie Aeon Flux, especially with all the black leather clothing. It’s like an asymmetrical bob-cut but leaving just a bit in front on both sides to accentuate your jaw line.
