The Hunger Games Hairstyles

There are a lot of things about the first Hunger Games movie from 2012 that bothered me. First, Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) is supposed to be from the poorest of the 12 districts, so why is she healthy, almost plump, looking? You’d think if they’re so hungry that they are risking execution to hunt a few birds (and fail at hunting a deer) in the next district they would actually look hungry and at least reasonably skinny. Secondly, those family genetics are pretty strange. Katniss has black hair but her sister Primrose Everdeen (played by Willow Shields)and her mom is blonde or dirty blonde? That doesn’t seem strange to anyone?

But whatever, the random kick ass hairstyles in the movie totally make up for some poor character casting choices. For example, in the opening scene Stanley Tucci with an awesome blue pompadour and Wes Bentley sporting a crazy fun chiseled facial hairstyle design.

Then of course there’s this lady. Lots of color, lots of curls, lots of crazy. lol.

Katniss starts out the movie with a good sporty look, having a simple side braid. Probably a good sporty hairstyle for going to the gym. The braid actually starts from her left side and works its way around to hang down over the right shoulder.

There are a few scenes where she wears her hair up on in different styles for special occasions. But still all braided styles. damn that’s a bunch of pictures.

The girl that saves Katniss’s life a few times — and the only one with tight curls. Just one question, out in the woods like that for days, how do you keep it so clean and nice looking? If I had hair like that there would be sticks and leaves stuck all over it in five minutes. She even has it styled in the front a bit.

Peeta kinda looks like a douche bad throughout the movie. Like a frat boy who hasn’t ever combed his hair before and has to go see the school principal for being disruptive in class. hahah.
