Though there are many ways to remove unwanted hair (such as shaving and plucking), lasers are the only permanent method of hair reduction. Also, a large area of the skin can be treated via laser at one time, making the procedure faster and even more cost-effective.
How does laser hair removal work?

The Hair Dryer Glossary
Know what your buying when you’re looking for a new blow dryer.
Often used it professional hair dryers. It’s less noisy, but weighs more and usually lasts longer.
Stuff like diffusers and nozzles that spread out heat and air in different ways. BLOWDRYER BRUSH: Basically what it sounds like. A multi-purpose styler which combines a brush and a blowdryer.
Ceramic technology is used to push Soft Heat more evenly throughout your hair. COLD SHOT: A feature on your hair dryer that gives a blast of cold air to help set hair and further close the cuticle. DC
Normally found in less expensive hair dryers. Lighter in weight but doesn’t last as long as an AC type motor. DIFFUSER: An attachment used to dry naturally curly of wavy hair without messing up the pattern of the hair.
Negatively charged ions are generated to dry hair faster by breaking up water droplets at higher speeds. That’s just science. 🙂 INFRARED HEAT: A laser-like technology that heats up your hair from the inside out.
Adjust your temperature, yo.
A type of stone used to increase the production of negatively charged ions.
The amount of electricity you’re gonna fry yourself with if you drop it in the bath tub. J/K there are safety features that cut off the power if you do that.
Guys choosing the right sunglasses for your face can be hard. Try these face shape guidelines for men when you’re picking out your next pair of shades.
Wear aviators or square, angular frames (like wayfarers) to add definition to your roundness.
Any shape sunglasses will work for you Mr. Oval face. Though, we recommend that the frames you choose are a least as wide as your face is at its widest point.
Rounded, slightly curved frames; your face already has a strong structure, so wearing really sharp angular sunglasses might look to hard. Then again I like to look hard.
Lenses that are deeper than they are wide, avoiding frames with sharp geometric shapes, to soften and balance your strong facial structure.
Squarer frames will look best with your faces proportions. Avoid teardrop lenses or frames with to much detailing at the top.
Any shape sunglasses will work for you too. But avoiding extremes (specifically very rounded, curved, or angular glasses). Lenses that are deeper than they are wide will work best for you, Diamond.
Top heavy frames or teardrop shaped sunglasses will help balance out your face shape. Square, angular frames with deep lenses work for triangular faces too.
Your old boring bobby pins are dull and lame. Spice em up at home with just your nail polish collection. Just clip them to the edge of some sturdy paper or cardboard and go to town making whatever designs you like. Instead of making them all different I’d suggest making a few of each color scheme or design so you can use a few matching ones at the same time. You can even try painting them with a touch of glue and adding sparkles.. but that gets really messy, better off getting some cool glitter nail polish and not worry about craft supply herpies (glitter the craft that stays with you forever, lol).
Cleaning Your Hair Straightener
Doesn’t look dirty? Well it probably is anyway! Many people use a hair protector spray or other products like hair straightening serum when straightening their hair so although it may not look dirty, there very well may be some build-up in the plates of your straightener that need to be occasionally cleaned. It’s easy to do and doesn’t take much time. This will help make it last longer too and perform at its best. Your hair straightener probably came with its own cleaning instructions that you threw out as soon as you opened the box, but no worries, cleaning it is usually as easy as 1 – 2 – 3:
1. Make sure your straightener is turned off and completely cooled.
2. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the plates and dry with another clean cloth.
3. Don’t forget to check the edges of your plates as there is probably build-up there as well. (Do not use anything sharp that could scratch or wear the plates)
Tip: To keep from accumulating product on the plates of your hair straightener, simply wipe it down after each use.
Ok, so there’s tourmaline, ceramic, ionic and all kinds of other types of technology involved with flat irons and hair straighteners… ever wonder what it all actually means? Here’s a short list of basic concepts for what you’re actually looking at when you look at hair straightener features:
This semi-precious stone is first crushed into a fine powder and infused into the ceramic plates of the flat iron. This plate generally creates longer lasting straight hair and a sleeker, shinier, frizz-free result. Tourmaline plates are also designed to keep your hair healthier and cause less heat damage. This has definitely become a salon professional favorite!
A smooth plate that will not chip or peel and helps prevent breakage (with no pulling or tugging at your hair!) The ceramic allows the plate to heat uniformly without creating heat spots. The temperature usually goes from a medium heat before becoming extremely hot.
This durable metal plate also allows for an even distribution of heat (like the ceramic). This flat iron features clamps that attaches directly to the metal plates shortening the “wait” time for heating up. You can imagine why this feature, along with it being light weight and scratch resistant might be a favorite for hair stylist and salons allowing for servicing many clients in a shorter time.
Negatively charged molecules that allow for faster straightening and healthier looking hair. The negative ions help relax your hair and eliminate static.
All ceramic flat irons will use far infrared heating. Its results are by heating the hair inside out and said to be one of the “gentlest” ways of heating hair. This helps prevent damage on the surface of your hair. Hopefully you’ll find one that works best for you. Although you may have to spend a little more on a professional flat iron- it will be worth every cent!
